Very useful program!
Here's an advanced question which I am sure is of little interest to most of your users, but would make what I am trying to do much easier.
Is there any way to run FastVideoIndexer from a script or another program, telling it the filename to extract frames from, and have it immediately (without further user action) process just that one file, then exit?
Perhaps via command line? Or, I see that last_settings.bin is xml, perhaps there are additional settings in there which are not generally used? I see nothing of the sort is documented but that doesn't always mean it's not there, I am a programmer and sometimes I need to add features for special purposes which I don't want to add to the standard documentation.
I have already written a little program which looks at the capture directory from a hung/crashed FVI session and computes a new delaybeforefirst and rewrites the .bin, so I don't have to do all that manually when I restart FVI. I'd like to be able to also automate the movie selection and processing, though.
If as I expect this is not possible in FVI, do you know of any third-party utility which would make this feasible? Even if they require some programming.
Thanks,
